Samuel's Rest, Worms Head, Gower

On perfect blue sky days. you could be forgiven for thinking that Gower is a tranquil, coastal paradise. But beneath the surface, there are many stark reminders of its ferocious and merciless maritime history. This anchor at the foot of Worms Head Rhosilli belonged to a Norwegian ship named Samuel which ran aground in the 1880’s.
